Privileged to be a member of the Sequim Open Aire Market since 1996, I am happy to be a sponsor of our community Market. Our Market provides artists and craftsmen the opportunity to show and sell our products and it is also a chance to educate the public about our individual arts and crafts.

I make baskets and art utilizing materials that I have harvested and gathered from the woods and valleys of the Pacific Northwest. I use barks, grasses, sedges, roots and reeds which are traditionally used by the Northwest Tribes in their baskets, mats, clothing and ceremonial items. I am an enrolled member of the Wyandotte tribe of the Midwest, but I grew up here in the Northwest and have been greatly influence by the Northwest Native arts.

I love when people visit my booth, look at my baskets, and ask what the materials are.it gives me the chance to share what actually goes into the making of the baskets. It often leads folks to taking a class with me, which allows me to share my passion for all aspects of creating woven containers from Native Northwest Naturals.

Also opened in March 2007 is the new Basketry Studio Gallery - open by appointment
